Terms and Conditions for the An Post Battle of the Book Clubs Challenge.
By participating in this competition, you agree to the terms and conditions below,
1. Eligibility- Entry is open to all Irish-based book clubs with a minimum of 3 members.
- Clubs must be active and able to demonstrate regular meetings or reading activity.
- Participants must be aged 18 or over.
- Entry is via the form on anpost.com/readerswanted OR submitted to bookclubs@anpost.ie
- Once the shortlist for the Irish Book Awards in announced the “promotion” begins and all Clubs that have submitted the form are contacted with a ‘digital pack’
- Clubs will receive a digital pack with all submission details, including the official email and WhatsApp number for content submission. Each week’s challenge will include a brief and sample content for inspiration
- The content is uploaded to the An Post Instagram page with a poll where the public can vote for their preferred Club/ Book, the top performing clubs will progress to the next round
- Week 1: “Meet the BookClub”
- Week 2: “Midway Moodboard”
- Week 3: “Hot Takes & Plot Twists”
- Week 4: “Final Chapter Celebration”
4. Judging Criteria
- Creativity and originality of content is judged by the An Post Irish Bok Awards team
- Level of engagement and reach across platforms and votes on An Post Instagram polls
- Alignment with the spirit of the An Post Irish Book Awards – celebrating Irish storytelling and community.
- Winning club will receive:
- VIP access to the filming of the An Post Irish Book Awards TV Show on Monday December 1st at 2pm
- Book hampers and a One4All voucher to the value of €250 for The Club
- Runners-up may receive book hampers and social media shoutouts.
- Promotion Starts: October 6th, 2025
- Shortlist announced: October 23rd
- Campaign period: October 23rd – November 27th, 2025
- Winners announced: November 27th, 2025 at the Awards Night
- Clubs retaining copyright of their material but grant An Post a license to use content
- By entering, clubs agree to allow An Post and its partners to use submitted content for promotional purposes.
- Content may be featured on An Post’s social channels, the An Post Irish Book Awards website, and media partner platforms.
- An Post reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time.
- Decisions by the judging panel are final.
- Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
- Clubs must adhere to fair play and avoid any content that could be deemed offensive or discriminatory. Offensive content will result in disqualification.
