David McRedmond

Chief Executive Officer

David McRedmond was appointed Chief Executive Officer of An Post in October, 2016. He was previously CEO of TV3 where he transformed the company into a major Irish broadcaster, concluding with its sale to Liberty Global in December 2015. Prior to TV3, David was the Commercial Director of Eircom and the Managing Director of Eircom Enterprises. His early career was as a retail industry executive in the UK and USA where he held senior roles such as Operations Director of Waterstones, Managing Director of WH Smith Travel Retail and CEO of WH Smith Inc.

A native of Dublin, David holds a Masters degree in Modern Irish History from UCD. He completed the Top Management Programme at the Cabinet Office, UK and the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD. He is the non-executive Chairman of Eir, Ireland’s leading telecoms company, a director of Premier Lotteries Ireland and a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Garrett Bridgeman

Managing Director Mails & Parcels

Garrett Bridgeman joined An Post in 1997 as part of our graduate recruitment programme. He has held several senior managerial positions within our commercial and operational areas, most recently leading the transformation of the parcel business. In October 2017, Garrett was appointed Managing Director of our Mails and Parcels division. He is a graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland (MII), where he received both the MII Graduate of the Year and the MII Logistics awards.

Paula Butler

Chief Admin Officer & Company Secretary

Paula was appointed as Chief Administration Officer & Company Secretary in January 2020, having been appointed as Company Secretary in 2019.  She joined An Post as Head of Procurement in 2014, having held similar roles in the Central Bank, IBM and Aer Arann.   Paula has an MBS from Dublin City University, a Diploma from Kings Inns and a BA in Business Studies from the University of Liverpool.  Paula volunteers time for Dress for Success, an organisation that empowers women to achieve economic independence.

Debbie Byrne

Managing Director Retail

Debbie Byrne joined An Post in November 2017. She has extensive strategic, general management and marketing expertise having worked for more than 20 years in a range of top companies such as Grand Metropolitan Europe, L’Oreal (UK & Irl), Eircom and Life Style Sports in senior general management, marketing and strategic planning roles. A graduate of International Marketing & Languages at DCU and INSEAD’s General Management Programme, she is also a member of the Institute of Marketing (UK).

Des Morley

Chief Digital & Technology Officer

Des joined An Post from Strata3, where he had been leading a specialist team working on An Post’s digital strategy during 2018.   
 
As one of Dublin’s leading digital experts, Des worked previously in Eir, O2 Telefonica and American Express. In addition to his digital leadership, Des is also a Six Sigma practitioner and qualified in Marketing and Statistics from Trinity College, Digital Marketing Institute and the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
 

Eleanor Nash

Chief People Officer

Eleanor Nash is An Post’s Chief People Officer and joined the company from Eason Limited where she was Group Head of HR.

She holds a Masters in HR Management from UCD Smurfit Business School, is a graduate of TCD and has deep IR experience and a strong track record in driving organisational change.

Peter Quinn

Chief Financial Officer

Peter Quinn joined An Post in August 2004. He is a Chartered Accountant and trained in practice with KPMG. Peter previously held senior financial and strategic positions in PJ Carroll and Company and Monaghan Mushrooms. He is a director of Premier Lotteries Ireland.

Nicola Woods

Chief Sustainability Officer

Nicola joined An Post in May 2020, bringing a wealth of Strategy and Transformation experience.

She worked as Chief of Staff with Salary Finance in the UK and with Ericisson Ireland as their Business Planning & Strategic Transformation Manager.  Prior to this, she held the positon of Head of Planning, Service & Delivery at Ulster Bank. 

Nicola holds a BA in Economics and Social Studies from Trinity College Dublin and a MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics
