International Strategic Account Manager – An Post Commerce

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Strategic Partnership Lead, the International Strategic Account Manager will work closely with a number of An Post Commerce’s strategically important customers and partners to meet their ongoing business requirements with particular emphasis on maximising wallet share within the relevant customer portfolio.  This will involve selling and negotiating at senior management level to existing customers, while also identifying and converting new prospects within the target sector.  This role will work to strict revenue targets.
 
The International Strategic Account Manager will plan, direct and control all activity to achieve and exceed agreed sales and profit objectives and to maximise financial returns within his/her designated customer portfolio.  This is to be achieved whilst improving the competitive position and reputation of An Post Commerce within the market place. 

Responsibilities  

  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets as set by the Strategic Partnership Lead, aligned to the An Post Commerce Budget.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activity particularly within your assigned customer portfolio.  Recommend action and intervention as appropriate. 
  • Identify and develop business opportunities which deliver / generate incremental revenue and profit streams whilst improving An Post Commerce’s competitive position within the relevant customer portfolio and market place. 
  • Implement correct on boarding process for new/additional business to ensure relevant business unit/ functions are aware of their needs.
  • Develop and maintain powerful business relationships with key decision makers within each strategic account and work with business unit/ functions to ensure their requirements can be facilitated.
  • Create and maintain records and reports on customers, market activity and action planning within accounts/market sector using An Post Commerce’s CRM system. 
  • Present sales, revenue reports and forecasts to the Sales management team in a timely manner to keep management informed of status of accounts.
  • Manage and represent the Strategic Partnership Team on various projects, as required. 
  • Demonstrate An Post Values and behaviours in your day to day work and address behaviour that supports/ conflicts with them. 

Knowledge, Experience and Skills  

You will be a dynamic sales professional with at least three years’ trade and/or company experience and experience of selling and negotiating at a senior level.  A proven track record of success in major sales and contract negotiations with large corporate customers, presenting to c-suite and an in-depth knowledge of the markets that An Post competes in is key.  You will have excellent organisational knowledge of An Post and excellent influencing skills with the ability to gain commitment.  You must demonstrate commercial acumen and business awareness and be self-motivated and capable of working on your own initiative.  A full clean driving licence is essential. Occasional international travel may be necessary to attend events and facilitate visits to customers.
