Cut the cost of living with An Post Money Manager

Money Manager analyses your expenses and income using the information from your current account and linked accounts. The budgeting tool can be used across all of your current accounts or credit cards – even if you don’t bank with us. With Money Manager you will be able to:

• Get a breakdown of your finances across all your current accounts
• Receive notifications and insights to keep you in control of your spending
• Create budgets for each category to help you spend less and save more

Simply log into the An Post Money mobile app as you normally would, and follow the 3 steps.
1. Look out for the pie icon on the right side of the app screen
2. You will be taken through a few explanatory screens
3. Accept the T&Cs and you're good to go

Alternatively, you can go to the menu on the top left of the app's home screen and click on Money Manager to enable it.

1. Have a current account with An Post, Bank of Ireland, AIB, Permanent TSB, Revolut or N26.
2. Have the most up-to-date version of the An Post Money app installed (URL to mobile app – upgrade your app page).
3. Be 16 or over.

Money Manager is a feature of the An Post Money banking app. All of your details will always be encrypted and protected by high levels of security as required under banking regulations. If you link to your 3^rd party bank accounts or credit cards, you will need to go through your 3^rd party bank’s standard security to access your transactional data. Once the An Post Money app is connected to your 3^rd party bank account, you will only be able to view your transactional data on the An Post Money app and not make or receive payments.
 

To create a new budget:

1. Click ‘Create new budget’ on the Money Manager homepage.
2. Select the expense categories you want to include.
3. Name your budget, set an amount and a budget period.
4. Click 'Create Budget' to save your changes.

To edit a budget:

1. Go to the ‘All Accounts’ page and select the budget you would like to edit.
2. Click on 'Edit' at the top right of the page to navigate to the 'Edit budget' page
3. You can modify your budget name, category, budget amount and budget period.
4. Click on 'Save changes' and An Post Money Manager will help you keep track of your spending.

If you think you no longer need a budget, you can delete your budget. You just need to
1. Scroll down on your Money Manager All Accounts page and select the budget you would like to delete.
2. Click on 'Edit' at the top right of the page
3. On the 'Edit Budget' page, click on 'Delete' at the top right corner
4.Click on 'Delete' to delete your budget.

Money Manager generates messages called ‘Insights’ that let you know your spending trends and helps you improve your financial health. You can choose to see insights for all of your accounts, or selected ones only. You can also receive push notifications whenever insights are generated within Money Manager. You can access insights by following these simple steps:

1. Enable Money Manager push notifications in the notifications ‘Settings’ menu, which you can access through the top left burger menu on the app home page.
Click on ‘Notification preferences’ and scroll to the Money Manager section – change the tabs to Green for the notifications you would like to enable.
2. Go into Money Manager by clicking on the pie icon in the top right hand side of the app home page.
3. Click the 'View' button at the top of Money Manager to view your insights.

You can switch off Money Manager by navigating to 'Money Manager' in the menu section. Follow these simple steps:
1. Click on Money Manager in the menu
2. Slide the Money Manager to left
3. Click on 'Turn off' to switch off Money Manager
2. Tap on push notification messages received on your mobile device
3. Click the 'View' button on the insights bar at the top centre of Money Manager All Accounts page and navigate to Events page to view insights

Before you close your old account, record the BIC and IBAN of all the people you are paying by Standing Orders.  When you open your new An Post Money Current Account you can set up all new Standing Orders using the receiver’s BIC and IBAN you already recorded.

Once you download the An Post Money app and sign up, then select the ‘Linked’ tab on the app homepage and follow the steps onscreen.  You will need to connect each of your 3^rd party accounts one at a time.

Can I add my credit card?
Yes, An Post Money Manager can link your credit card from BOI, AIB or PTSB. Just go to the ‘Linked’ tab on the app home page and select your 3^rd party bank where you have your credit card.
