An Post welcomes Union acceptance of Labour Court recommendation
STATEMENT: An Post welcomes the Communication Workers Union acceptance of the Labour Court recommendation for changes in work practices in Collection and Delivery operations.
The positive ballot result is highly significant for An Post, its staff and customers.
It is a critical step in the process to safeguard, modernise and bring efficiency to inflexible, outdated and cost-laden work practices. A new, improved way of working will enable An Post and its staff to deliver better quality of service and a much broader, modern range of products and services to customers.
We look forward to moving ahead quickly, in conjunction with the CWU, with implementation of the full Labour Court recommendation.
