International delivery options for sending mail abroad

Do you need to send a letter or parcel overseas? An Post offers a number of international delivery options including:

• International Express Post
• International Registered Post
• International Courier Service
• International Mail Service Update
• Standard International Post

When sending packets or parcels to destinations outside the European Union, a completed customs declaration is required and is available from your post office. An Post provides two customs forms:

• The CP72 for parcels or items with a value in excess of €300
• The CN22 for all other items

An Aviation Security Declaration, to ensure compliance with airline security regulations, must be attached to any packet or parcel containing goods sent within the EU, excluding Northern Ireland.

International Express Post

Express Post International is a reliable, fast and cost-effective way to post your item abroad.

We deliver to a range of international destinations including Great Britain, 21 countries across Europe as well as Australia, Canada, Israel, New Zealand, Singapore and the USA. An Post international delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

What it offers

• Carries letters, large envelopes or packets weighing up to 2kg
• Deliveries to a list of international destinations
• Online tracking of your item until delivery is confirmed

How it works

1. Buy an  Express Post International barcode label online or at any post office.
2. Attach the label to the front of your item beside the address
3. Complete the appropriate customs documentation for international items
4. Apply the appropriate postage
5. Track its progress online using the unique number on the receipt
6. Delivery will be confirmed but a signature will not be available
