Overview We are committed to making a positive impact on our communities by creating everyday opportunities to make sustainable living commonplace for everyone in Ireland. In 2022 we: • Installed fast chargers for community access to our EV charging network at two of our properties, in Carlow and Wexford. Since their installation, the fast chargers have provided the public with 3,370 kWh of green electricity to power their cars. • Added Money Manager (a personal financial management budgeting tool) into the An Post Money app to help customers regain control over their finances. More than 50% of our app users have engaged with the tool, enabling them to see at a glance and set budget limits for their spending by category, see their spending categorised and gain insights into how they can better manage their spending. • Enhanced our PUDO (Pick Up and Drop Off) strategy: As Ireland emerged from lockdown and consumers returned to their workplaces in 2022, first time delivery of parcels could not always be achieved. Customers then have to travel to our delivery service units to collect their item. In order to offer a more convenient and sustainable service to our customers, with collection points closer to their homes, as well as Saturday opening times, we trialled the redirection of missed deliveries to local Post Offices in Galway. In 2022, 65 postal routes were successfully trialled, resulting in savings of over 127,000 km of additional travel (and associated emissions) by our customers. A rollout plan for more areas of the country is being developed for 2023.
