Social Welfare Payments
If you are entitled to social welfare income supports and/or Child Benefit, this will be paid at your designated post office. Please bring these 2 documents to your local Post Office and you will receive your payment.
a) Your PPS number which you will have received when you registered on arrival in Ireland.
b) One photographic ID e.g. your passport, driver’s licence or national ID card (expired documents will also be accepted)
Physical Postal Address
If you don’t have a full postal address at this moment, Address Point is a secure virtual personal address service which An Post can provide to people who are moving from one temporary address to another. This service gives you a unique postal address and enables you to pick up your mail from your designated Post Office. Details of how this service operates can be obtained from the Irish Red Cross and other organisations supporting people recently arrived from Ukraine.
If you need to receive or send Money from Ukraine with no Fees
If you wish to send or receive money from Ukraine you can do so through our partner Western Union at your local post office and we will not charge the usual transfer fee.
If you need a FREE SIM Card
You can get a FREE SIM card which will have one month’s usage free. This is available at your local Post Office.
If you need to set up a Current Account
If you have recently moved to Ireland due to the Ukrainian crisis, we will support you in getting your current account open.
Send a letter or postcard free to Ukraine
All Ukrainians living or recently arrived in Ireland can avail of free standard postage on letters and postcards (up to 100g) to Ukraine at your local Post Office.
Donate to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal
You can give a donation to support the emergency appeal at your local post office. 100% of all donations will go to our charity partners UNICEF, Irish Red Cross, GOAL and Concern.
