PostFX single currency card

The PostFX single currency card has been discontinued and the service will close on the 8th April 2021.
It has been replaced by the more flexible An Post Money Currency Card, which allows you to have up to 16 currencies on your card at any one time.

If you have a PostFX Prepaid MasterCard® single currency card, you can choose one of the following options:

  • Swap it for the new multi-currency card

  • Cash out your PostFX single currency card at any Post Office

Swap your card

To swap your PostFX Prepaid MasterCard® single currency card for a new An Post Money Currency Card, just bring your existing card along with proof of name and address to any participating post office, complete the application form and we will complete the swap for you.

We will also transfer any balance from the old card to your new one. So if you have $100 on your old card, you can swap it for $100 on your new card.

Cash out your PostFX single currency card

You can also withdraw any cash remaining on your card, in euro, at the post office. You will need to bring your card, Pin and identification, such as a passport or EU driving licence, to cash out amounts over €500. If you do not have your Pin you will need to contact Customer Support on the number below and you will be put through to an automated Pin reminder.
