Currency Card charges & limits

What it costs

We do not charge a card fee but the Irish government charges annual stamp duty on prepaid card accounts at a rate of €0.12 for any ATM transaction in the Republic of Ireland, up to a total of €5.00.

The card is commission free for foreign-currency transactions. Point-of-sale and online transactions are also free when you have funds available in the currency in which they are made. Fixed fees are applied to ATM withdrawals.

There is a charge of 1.25% on euro currency purchases, top-ups and withdrawals at post offices, subject to a cap of €8.00 on withdrawals. Find out about other charges that might apply to your card.
