As we look forward to International Women’s Day on Monday 8th March, a global day to celebrate women’s achievements and raise awareness for women’s equality, An Post is delighted to welcome you to our special lunchtime event, centred around this year’s theme of #ChooseToChallenge.

Today we unveil a special new stamp, celebrating the Irish Nationalist writer and campaigner, Jane, Lady Wilde, also known as Speranza, a woman who was ahead of her timing in fighting for women’s rights in the 1800s.

Debbie Byrne, Managing Director of An Post Retail will also be chatting with Dr Norah Patten, Aeronautical Engineer, Scientist-Astronaut Candidate and STEM advocate, while award-winning writer Martina Devlin will tell us more about Jane, Lady Wilde.

Finally, we’ll enjoy the music of singer songwriter Loah, who will wrap up the event with her new song ‘Your World.’

We hope you enjoy our lunchtime gathering!
