What’s the job?
Under guidance the Graduate will:
- Collect and analyse data from a new Packet/Small Parcel sortation machine being installed in 2020 in order to bed in and optimise operational planning and performance.
- Conduct detailed analysis of our nationwide supply chain taking the decline in letter-mail and the increase in packets and parcels into account.
- Work on building capacity models to simulate a range of ‘what if’ scenarios.
- Conduct long-term analysis of nationwide network; graduate will work on the evolution of the network and how best to structure and integrate the processing and transportation network.
Who are we looking for?
Bachelor of Engineering, Data Science, Logistics or equivalent
What to expect?
You will join the experienced Automation Project Engineering team. This team was responsible for the design and implementation of An Post’s €40m investment in new state of the art systems and automated sortation platforms for letters over the past few years, a project that was shortlisted for Engineers Ireland Project of the Year award.
Based in the An Post Dublin Mail Centre in Dublin 12, you will be part of a team of 10 graduates to be recruited by An Post in 2020. While on the programme together, you will be based in separate parts of the organisation with distinct projects to work on.
This role comes with a basic salary of €30000 per annum
