What’s the Job?
With a workforce of 10,000, across 160+ locations in 26 counties and a variety of shift and non-shift patterns, An Post is a complex organisation. We have a safety record to be proud of due to the partnership with our Managers, Colleagues, Unions and third party suppliers. We have an ambitious programme ahead of us and immense scope for a graduate to grow their capability and confidence. The graduate will work closely with the Head of Group Safety and the wider Safety Team.
Key Areas of Focus
- Support the smooth transition of Occupational Safety processes, procedures & guidance to our new HQ in the EXO building – Fire/Emergency procedures, Building Risk Assessment, Work station assessment, Floor by Floor Hazard ID & Risk Assessments. Liaise with 3rd Party Stakeholders as required.
- Support the migration of our current Safety Management system to the new Oracle based HRMS Safety Module, acting as subject matter expert point of contact for the Safety Function.
- Support the Safety function in maintaining legal & ISO compliance, document change control (review/update), External Auditor & Regulatory Authority liaison, Research new & emerging *Risks to our business (*Occupational Safety & Health Risks)
Who Are We Looking For?
You will have a BSc/MSc in an Occupational Safety related discipline (including Occupational Health). Preferably, you will have a full clean driver’s license and access to a car as the role will require travel to An Post company locations within Ireland.
What To Expect?
Based in Dublin, you will be part of a team of up to 16 Graduates recruited in An Post in 2023. While on the programme together, you will be based in separate parts of the organisation with distinct projects to work on.
