Function: An Post Corporate Centre – GTS Information Security
What’s the Job?
Our 150+ Group Technology Solutions (GTS) team underpins the key strategies of the organisation and has been instrumental in designing some leading edge business systems and processes to date. You will be a member of the GTS Information Security team working on securing our systems and data as we move further into the digital world.
Key Areas of Focus

Security Architecture – supporting the team in performing security architecture reviews and creating risk assessments based on the findings. You will have the opportunity to learn about securing the new technology and systems that An Post will be implementing, while gaining experience of how an organization must continue to secure and manage older infrastructure and applications within a hybrid cloud and on premise environment.
- Governance and Risk – supporting the team in maturing our governance and risk monitoring and reporting. You will have the opportunity to actively participate in the vulnerability management program and work with our penetration testers to identify vulnerabilities, helping to protect An Post in the ever-changing threat landscape. You will have responsibility for testing key security controls in place to verify compliance level with An Post policies. This work will provide an input into the annual risk review and you will gain experience of the GTS risk management lifecycle
Who Are We Looking For?
You will have a third level qualification with Cyber, Computing, Business with Computing modules or you will be a third level graduate, from any discipline, who has progressed to complete a further post graduate or professional certificate/diploma in Cyber, Risk or Computing.
You will have a level of business acumen that will help you to understand how IT supports and enables the business and you will have a level of technical understanding. While cyber security is a desirable it is not a necessity however, a level of computing / software development / networking is required.
What To Expect?
Based in Dublin, you will be part of a team of up to 16 Graduates recruited in An Post in 2023. While on the programme together, you will be based in separate parts of the organisation with distinct projects to work on.
