About the role
Reporting to a member of the Management Board, as Strategy Implementation Manager (SIM), you will monitor and manage the delivery of strategic initiatives in line with the business strategy, ensuring that the objectives of the business unit are aligned to the relevant stakeholders, providing expertise and support to improve effectiveness. You will support the co-ordination of work and management of the team. Where necessary you will project manage specific work streams.
You will be a key player during this transformational time, ensuring that projects deliver the required outcomes, within budget, on time and to the highest level of quality. You will identify potential areas of conflict and interdependencies between projects managing resolution processes where required while also educating project managers on best practice to ensure coherence between projects/ programmes.
You will help ensure that the correct projects are identified and assist project managers produce briefs, monthly updates and close out reports, as well as ensuring accurate allocation of resources and working with the MD to identify and remove road blocks.
As SIM you will act as a conduit providing monthly updates, managing the flow of information with the business unit and the Management Board, assisting the management team in effective decision making. You will also act as the key link to external consultants and advisors, coordinating activity.
The ideal candidate
You will ideally hold an MBA or post graduate degree, with a minimum of five years relevant work experience across various operational functions, understanding interdependences on projects and have a collaborative yet firm approach to ensure projects are delivered within expected timeframes and quality.
- Strong proven organisational and multi-tasking experience balancing multiple projects at the same time and at a fast pace
- Excellent persuasive and communication capabilities, engaging the critical mass to buy in on projects or initiatives
- Evidence of critiquing initiatives and effecting change where required
- Proven track record of managing programmes at high level, ensuring Project managers and teams are engaged and focused
