The Reading Room with John Boyne

Watch our second virtual event in partnership with IMAGE Media – this time with one of Ireland’s most prolific novelists. As part of the ‘The Reading Room’ series John Boyne sat down with IMAGE Contributing Editor, Melanie Morris. The two disccussed John’s incredible career to date, as an author of both young adult and adult fiction.

Though he’s been writing for 20 years, it was 2006’s The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas that catapulted John to literary superstardom. Selling over seven million copies, it was made into a film two years later. Since then, John has written 11 novels for adults, five for a younger audience, and has been published in over 50 languages.
